OPPORTUNITY: During the spring semester of my senior year at Anderson University, I had the opportunity to be on the social media design team for the Department of Art + Design Senior Show alongside 2 other student designers. We were tasked with creating the social content schedule and coordinating with other teams to make sure the content was produced on time to be finalized and posted.
SOLUTION: In previous years, the Senior Show content took over the Department of Art + Design Instagram account for the month surrounding the event. Our team created a new page just for the event content to give it a unique space to live, allowing the department's page to remain in use for other important information to be communicated to students. The most important posts with details of the event were posted as collaborative posts between the Senior Show account and the overarching Department account. Through these collaborative posts and other promotion of the new account, its following was grown 133% by the end of the campaign cycle.
