OPPORTUNITY: During the fall 2022 semester of my senior year, I was enrolled in Advanced Design Studio 2. This course was designed to allow students to explore content-driven design, as well as giving them the opportunity to create their own personal design philosophy.
SOLUTION: Metamorphosis is the result of a semester-long design process and exploration. Divided into sections based on the key statements of my design philosophy, this book details my process throughout the semester of exploring what it means to let the content drive the final product. Incorporated within the pages of this book are my personal and family stories related to the area surrounding Cayce and West Columbia in South Carolina that helped shape me as a person, and in turn, my design philosophy.
